Dear Friends,

Thank you! Thank you to our family, our friends — old and new, our volunteers, and our donors. It’s because of you we were able to run this race and share our vision for the people of the 11th Congressional District of Illinois. Even though the outcome was not what we wanted, we are grateful for all the prayers, time, energy, advice, and hard-earned dollars so many of you invested in our campaign.

Words cannot express how grateful Angie and I are for the new friendships developed and those rekindled during the course of this campaign. We have many cherished memories and stories that will make us smile for years to come. Life does not end with one election and we are going to keep pushing on, working to make a positive impact in our community.

We congratulate Bill Foster on his victory and support him in his campaign to win the House back and help President Obama move our country forward.
